Jad Marinovic - Kettlebell Sport World Champion & Master of Sport World Class!

She has made kettlebell sport history winning Gold at the 2015 1st Kettlebell Marathon World Championship and 1st person in Australia to achieve the Master of Sport World Class title. She is the 1st female in Australia to earn MS rank with 24 kg and recognised as Australia's best female PRO kettlebell lifter in 58kg weight class with 24kg in Snatch, Jerk, Long Cycle and Biathlon and holds multiple national and world records!

Founder, Owner and Head Coach of "Kettlebell Athletica" Australia's 1st exclusively dedicated commercial Kettlebell Studio/Gym, KETAcademy Certified Coach, IKSFA Kettlebell Sport Coach, IKSA Level 2 GS Coach, Australian Kettlebell Instructor (AKI) and Professional Kettlebell Sport Athlete. Kettlebell Athletica's founder Jad Marinovic is Australia's #1 leading female Kettlebell instructor by pioneering the concept of opening up an exclusively dedicated commercial Kettlebell training studio/gym in Australia that offers specialized Kettlebell training instruction in all aspects, kettlebell fitness, sport, and kettlebell juggling via private and small group training classes and workshops which includes it's very own brand of Kettlebells. She is also one of Australia's first certified Kettlebell instructors and pioneer in the sport of Kettlebell lifting in marathon.

To become an expert in her field and to maintain her expertise, over the past 8 years, Jad has become a certified Kettlebell instructor for both fitness and sport and has attended several Kettlebell certifications/workshops including KETAcademy, IKSFA, IKSA, AKI, and Steve Cotter's GS Workshop. To continue to be coached by the best she travelled to Russia in 2011 becoming the 1st female in Australia to be certified in Russia in Kettlebell Sport. Jad's coach is Sergey Rachinskiy, 9-time World Kettlebell Sport Champion, Guinness Book Record Holder, and KETAcademy Master Coach since 2010. Jad is the official Australian representative for KETAcademy (KETA),World Association of Kettlebell Clubs (WKSA), International Kettlebell Marathon Federation (IKMF), International Girevoy Sport Federation (IGSF), (IUKL) International Union of Kettlebell Lifting and President of Girevoy Sport Australia Association (GSAA) which is affiliated with the International Union of Kettlebell lifting (IUKL).

To continue to grow the sport of Kettlebell Lifting over the years, Jad has also been hosting GSAA competitions in Melbourne since March 2010 which include 3 x GSAA National Championships, 1 x GSAA/IUKL World Cup, 4 x KBA/Ketacademy competitions which is now partner club to the Australian leg of the Kettlebell Sport World Grand Prix Series with the World Association of Kettlebell Clubs held at the Arnold Classic in Melbourne plus more. She has also hosted KETAcademy, IKSFA, IKSA, AKI, and KBA certifications in Melbourne over the past 7 years.

Jad's lifestyle has always revolved around exercise and strength training. Her passion for fitness has grown after over 25 years of conventional strength training, and 22 years ago Jad began her fitness career as a group fitness instructor. From the age of 15, before Jad first became qualified in 1992 and taught aerobics classes, she could always be found in the gym. She also has a background as a fitness model, bikini competitor and dancer. However, before Jad became a Certified Personal Trainer she became qualified and worked in a completely different field for several years as a professional Microsoft Computer Systems Engineer ['MCSE']. She has also worked in property project management renovating & development property for over 10 years with her father. Jad reflects, "Although I picked up invaluable skills and experience in the corporate world I was never enthusiastic and passionate working in the field of IT." What motivated Jad to return to the fitness industry as a Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor was her post-partum weight loss experience following the birth of her son.

"Although I returned to my pre-baby shape I continued to experience intermittent lower back pain and tight hip flexors, as well as an injury from training. Then I discovered the kettlebell, your all-in-one hand held gym."... Jad Marinovic "With kettlebells I could do my cardio and strength training simultaneously anywhere, anytime. I soon developed 'real world' strength and a rock solid back and core. I am now stronger than I have ever been and I train effectively in half the time that I used to. Kettlebell training solved my post-partum back problems and I no longer had trouble fitting workouts into my busy schedule as a 'busy mum'. So it doesn't make sense to me to continue training with traditional strength training equipment that isolate my muscle groups leaving me with lots of weak links. I am now functionally stronger and fitter than I have ever been, even before the birth of my beautiful son. My midsection is rock solid and my pre-pregnancy jeans have never looked better on me."...
