Kettlebell Athletica World Grand Prix Australia Championship 2015 will be at the Arnold Classic Australia!
 
ORGANISERS:
The World Grand Prix event is organized by "Kettlebell Athletica" in coordination with "KETAcademy" and the "World Association of Ketlebell Clubs".
 
This Grand Prix competition will see clubs from around the world competing in another leg of the World Grand Prix Series. Countries so far included are France, USA, Russia, Ukraine, Japan, Switzerland, Great Britain, USA, and Australia. The grand prix is open to everyone and all clubs!
 
"Kettlebell Athletica" is an official partner club of the "International Grand Prix World Tournament Series championships", and the "World Association of Kettlebell Clubs", and I am very proud to be hosting the World Grand Prix Series at the Arnolds Sports Classic in Melbourne!

PARTICIPANTS:
Participation is open to professional, amateur, novice and veteran athletes of kettlebell sport, and to all federations, unions, associations, countries, communities and clubs who promote kettlebell sport.
 
  1. Participants may join as part of a club or independently.
  2. Participants will place individually and as part of a team. There is no restriction on the number of participants from each country.
  3. There is no limit on the number of participants from each club. There is no defined team composition. Team placement will be determined by the best results of: 5 men (24kg with .5 coefficient or 32kg), 3 women (16kg with .5 coefficient or 24kg), one veteran, one juggler, and one marathon.
  4. Men’s Long Cycle relay: teams of 5, 3 minutes each participant, 24kg kettlebells.)
  5. Women’s Long Cycle Relay: teams of 3, 3 minutes each participant, 16kg kettlebell.
  6. First place in an individual event is worth 20 points, second place – 18, third place – 16, fourth place – 12, and for each further place one less point is gained. (eg., fifth-11, sixth-10 … etc.)
  7. There is no limit on the number of participants from each country in each weight class.

  • Jerk (One kettlebell with one hand switch)
  • Long cycle (One kettlebell with one hand switch)
  • Biathlon (Jerk + Snatch)
  • Long cycle relay (1 kettlebell 1 arm switch 3 minutes)
  • Kettlebell Marathon (One kettlebell multiple switch)
 
Men compete in:
  • Snatch only
  • Jerk only
  • Biathlon (Two arm Jerk + snatch)
  • Long cycle (Two kettlebells)
  • Long cycle relay (2 kettlebells 3 minutes)
  • Kettlebell Marathon (One kettlebell multiple switch)
 
WEIGHT CATEGORIES AND KETTLEBELL WEIGHT
"WOMEN" – Open Category – competition held with following kettlebells:
  • 12kg, 16 kg, 20 kg, 24 kg, 28 kg
  • Weight Classes: 53kg, 58 kg, 63 kg, 68 kg, + 68 kg
  • Event time is 10 minutes.
 
"WOMEN" – 35 years and above -- competition held with following kettlebells:
  • 8 kg, 10 kg, 12 kg, 16 kg
  • Weight Classes: 58 kg, 63 kg, 68 kg, + 68 kg
  • Age Categories: 35-44 years–16kg; 45-54 years–12kg; 55-64 years--10 kg; 65+
  • Event time is 10 minutes.
 
"MEN" Open Category – competition held with following kettlebells:
  • 16 kg, 20 kg, 24 kg, 28 kg, 32 kg
  • Weight Classes: 63 kg, 68 kg, 73 kg, 78 kg, 85kg, 95 kg, + 95 kg
  • Event time is 10 minutes.
 
"MEN" 40 years and above – competition held with following kettlebells:
  • 8kg, 12 kg, 16 kg, 20 kg, 24 kg
  • Weight Classes: 68 kg, 78 kg, 85 kg,95 kg, + 95 kg;
  • Age Categories: 40-49 years--24kg; 50-59 years–20kg, 60-69 years--16kg;
  • 70-79 years–12kg; 80+ – 8kg
  • Event time is 10 minutes.
 
"MARATHON" Category - competition held with following kettlebells:
  • Men: 16 kg, 20 kg, 24 kg, 28 kg, 32 kg, 40 kg, 50 kg
  • Women: 12 kg, 16 kg, 20 kg, 24 kg, 28 kg, 32 kg
  • Event time is 30 or 60 minutes
 
RULES AND REGULATION:
This competition will be using the KETAcademy protocol and ranking table. Rankings awarded at Kettlebell Athletica GS competitions are official KBA ranks and rules based on the KETAcademy Ranking Tables awarded by KBA judges and officials. High ranks (Candidate for Master of Sport, Master of Sport, Master of Sport International Class) will be awarded at KBA Competitions under the guidance of expert judges of high ranks and officials.

Winners will be determined by summing up of points in each discipline.

Long Cycle -1 point, Biathlon –Jerk 1 point & Snatch 0.5 points., Snatch only - 1 point.,Jerk only - 1 point, Marathon - 1 point

1st place will be awarded with medals & certificates.

2nd and 3rd place will be awarded with certificates.

Coefficient Best Male and Female Lifter awards!

Absolute winner in each discipline(men and women) will be awarded with additional Trophy.

(Kettlebell weight X Repetitions ÷ Athlete weight)
